URBAN WATERCOLOR WORKSHOP - FLORENCE, ITALY
Florence is not only to be walked... it is painted
Every corner invites you to stop, breathe and transform a postcard into a work of art.
In this open-air workshop, you will be accompanied by a local artist who will teach you how to observe with new eyes: lines, lights and colors that give life to squares, alleys, churches and bridges. No matter your level: whether it's your first time with a paintbrush or you already have experience, you will discover how to capture the soul of the city on paper.
The experience begins with a short walk through the cobblestone streets, until you find that spot that inspires: it could be the silhouette of the Duomo, a view of the Ponte Vecchio, or an everyday scene in a hidden square. From there, pencil and water connect you to the city from another place.
You don't need to bring anything: all the necessary materials are included - watercolor paper, brushes, quality pigments - as well as a coffee or tea break, while you share your process with the group or simply observe how the city continues to breathe around you.
What will you learn and experience?
- Principles of urban drawing: perspective, proportions, framing.
- Watercolor techniques: washes, layers, color mixing and final details.
- How to capture real atmospheres: light, shadow and movement of the city.
- Moments of pause, inspiration and creation in unique settings.
More than a workshop, it is a way of inhabiting Florence with different eyes. In the end, you take away not only your finished work, but also an intimate experience: painting to the rhythm of a city that has inspired artists for centuries. You can learn more about this artistic influence at the Uffizi Gallery collectionsone of the temples of art in Europe.
