In an old house in the Üsküdar neighborhood, where the walls hold the secrets of sultanas and artisans, a master embroiderer welcomes you. The aroma of apple tea accompanies the welcome, and the warmth of the place invites you to linger beyond time.
Surrounded by silks, golden threads, and traditional fabrics, the experience begins in a small group. You'll learn the basics of Ottoman embroidery and create your own designs on fabric, using ancient techniques. All artisan materials are included: silk threads, frames, needles, and hand-embroidered fabrics. The atmosphere is serene, guided by an expert embroiderer who teaches with patience and warmth.
The class is taught primarily in English, with visual aids and printed explanations in several languages. No previous experience is required.
