🍋 Cómo hacer limoncello y embotellar un poco de sol
Limoncello is that bottled Italian sunshine. Originally from the Amalfi Coast and Sorrento, this homemade liqueur is made with just a few ingredients and a lot of patience. Here's how to make it at home.
Ingredients:
- 8 organic lemons (skin only)
- 500 ml of edible ethyl alcohol or high-proof vodka
- 700 ml of water
- 400 g of sugar
Preparation:
- Wash the lemons well and peel them carefully, using only the yellow part (avoid the white part, which is bitter).
- Place the peels in an airtight glass jar and cover with alcohol. Let macerate for 7 days in a cool, dark place.
- After that time, filter the alcohol and set aside. Boil the water with the sugar until completely dissolved and let it cool.
- Mix the cold syrup with the filtered alcohol. Bottle and let it rest for at least 10 days before serving. Serve very cold.
