HANDMADE BOOKBINDING CLASS
The art of giving form to a book

In the heart of Buenos Aires, far from the fast-paced city, a space opens where pause takes shape: artisanal bookbinding. This class is an invitation to reconnect with the book as a living object, created with care, precision, and beauty.
Guided by a bookbinder, you'll learn the complete process of binding your own notebook or book from scratch. You'll begin by preparing the signatures: folding the paper, smoothing it, and organizing the internal sections.
Then comes the most hypnotic moment: sewing with waxed thread, using traditional stitches (like the Coptic or the long link stitch, depending on the chosen style). It's that kind of concentration that silences the mental chatter without asking permission.
You'll become familiar with essential tools—punches, a bookbinding press, a scoring bone, rulers, and blades—and learn to cover books with fabrics, decorative papers, or leather. Here, every millimeter matters, but not in a solemn way: it matters because you'll be handling it every day.
The atmosphere is warm and focused. The worktable, the taut threads, the aroma of glue, and the rustle of thick paper create an old-fashioned workshop atmosphere: the kind of place where time stands still, where it sews.

Each notebook you create will be unique, with the marks of your rhythm and the soul of your moment.
