HANDMADE BOOKBINDING CLASS
BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA
Between threads, sheets and silences, a book is born from your hands

In the heart of Buenos Aires, far from the fast-paced city, a space opens where pause takes shape: artisanal bookbinding. This class is an invitation to reconnect with the book as a living object, created with care, precision, and beauty.
Guided by an expert bookbinder, you'll learn the complete process for binding your own notebook or book from scratch. You'll begin by preparing the booklets: folding the paper, smoothing it, and organizing the inner sections. You'll then work on the stitching with waxed thread, using traditional stitches such as Coptic or long binding, depending on the style you choose.
You'll become familiar with essential tools: punches, a binding press, a folding knife, rulers, and knives, and learn how to cover covers with fabric, decorative paper, or handmade leather. Every fold and seam is carefully maintained, as if every detail tells a story.
The atmosphere is warm and focused. The work table, the taut threads, the scent of natural glue, and the rustle of thick paper create an atmosphere reminiscent of old-fashioned craft workshops.

Each notebook you create will be unique, with the marks of your rhythm and the soul of your moment.
